That attack was, of course, from that ultra-rare species of shark-- the great whitewater shark, long a scourge of unwary kayakers. Significant in the tableau were the unaware skinny dippers upstream from the fracas. The local paparazzo (yes, only one!) was concentrating on the unclad pair to the exclusion of the canoe conflict in the same river.
