Glory Days of the Railroad

This Saturday, September 13, 2014 NELUG will be displaying a layout built entirely of LEGO bricks at the Glory Days of the Railroad Festival in White River Junction, VT. The layout will celebrate the railroad heritage of New England and showcase a number of LEGO trains modelled after historical examples. These trains will run through a LEGO city designed especially for Glory Days of the Railroad, displaying the skills and creativity of some of our members and includes some recognizable local landmarks. NELUG is pleased and honored to have been asked to exhibit at this event. The Glory Day of the Railroad will be open from 10AM to 4PM. Entrance is FREE (if you wish to ride the train there is a fee for that). Hope to see you there!

BrickFair NE, Here We Come!

General
Come one, come all to the second annual BrickFair NE, a LEGO fan convention conveniently located right in our backyard at the Radisson Hotel Manchester in Manchester, NH. Public hours are 11:00am - 4:00pm this Saturday and Sunday, 10-11 May. NELUG will be displaying another awesome city and train layout, and many of our members will be contributing MOCs (my own creation) to the display. It's time for Greenberg's Fall Toy and Train at the Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington, MA and NELUG will be there. November 23 and 24 is too early to face holiday shopping at the mall, so come see a LEGO carnival and castle instead. We hope to see you there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Burlington LEGO store!

Saturday, October 12, the LEGO Store is celebrating being at the Burlington Mall for ten years and NELUG will be there to help. Join us on the ground floor near the info desk. There will be a Great Ball Contraption. Come watch us run around chasing LEGO soccer balls as they try to escape. Ever want to see a classic Pointillist painting represented as a LEGO mosaic? Now is your chance. Or try your hand at building your own mini mosaic. There will also be mini models which you can build and take home with you. It all starts at 10:00 AM. We hope to see you there.
